[Gepard is heavy, and his tail is so long that it's going to drag in the sand no matter what Sampo does, but he gathers the merman into his arms and starts wading his way out of the tide pool again. It's difficult-- the sand shifts under his feet and the rocky parts of the beach are slick and treacherous, but he's got precious cargo. That merits caution, so he goes slow and makes sure that he doesn't do something awful, like drop Gepard.]

You're lucky I decided to come down today! [He makes it the fifteen or so feet down to where the waterline is, and starts wading his way out into the deeper water. How long can merfolk last in shallow water without getting hurt? Is he injured, does he need medical attention?] You would've really been uncomfortable for a while. Did you get sunburned? [He keeps going until he's in the water up to his waist, ignoring how cold it is in favor of getting Gepard somewhere that he can actually survive.]
